I had the chance to embrace my inner geek last night. It’s not something I do often…well, maybe I do. It depends on your perspective, I guess. However, last night was the geekiest and most awesome thing I’ve seen in quite a while.

A Day in the FS Life

NPR has been running a recent “Day in the Life” series about those serving in the Foreign Service. Hopefully it will help to educate the general public who have no idea what we do and can counter some of the (mostly underserved) criticism the State Department has had recently in regard to Beirut. You can listen to it here.

I’m often asked what my wife is doing. Is she working? What will she do at post? Will she work there? To be honest, we don’t really know what she’s going to do and we’re not all that stressed out about it. She’s enjoying some well-deserved rest after working crazy theatre hours the last few years.
