loyal readers

Thank you for all of the comments on my last entry. I was starting to think that no one was reading and was lacking a bit in the motivation to post, but apparently all I needed to do was request ’80s Cold War movie suggestions to draw everyone out. Now that I better understand my demographic, I can hone my craft.

I think I’ve seen most of the films suggested (except for “Gotcha”), but they all deserve another look in honor of my future assignment on the other side of the now defunct Iron Curtain. It’s a good thing I don’t leave until April so I can spread the movies out. I think Stallone, Schwartzenegger, Dolph Lundgren, and Swayzee is too much testostorone for any man to handle (besides maybe Barry Bonds.)

Interesting trivia note, by the way. Did you realize the test scene at the beginning of Spies Like Us is supposed to be the Foreign Service exam? Mine didn’t look much like that with the exception that I also wore an eyepatch and faked a heart attack.

Blog Notes: I can’t believe it took my so long, but I finally added a link to Internet Movie Database. I definitely spend more time on that site than any other. A movie isn’t complete anymore unless I’ve done the required follow-up on IMDB.
