Oscar Picks

For the sake of posterity and probably future embarassment, here are my picks for the 2007 Academy Awards.

Keep in mind this is who I think will win, not who should win. There seems to be a lack of a clear favorite this year so I expect to see the Oscar love spread around to many films.

Best Film - Little Miss Sunshine

Best Director - Martin Scorcese (The Departed)

Best Actress - Helen Mirren (The Queen)

Best Actor - Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland)

Best Supporting Actress - Jennifer Hudson (Dreamgirls)

Best Supporting Actor - Alan Arkin (Little Miss Sunshine) (Also, a new word is coined, to Norbit yourself.)

Update: So I didn’t do too bad. Five out of six since I missed Best Picture. I knew I was going a bit out on a limb with “Little Miss Sunshine.” Oh well, I really liked “The Departed” also. And was that longest Oscars ever or what? Could we another video montage? Please?
