Yesterday was a good day. We got an amazing care package from our friends Janette and Bill (Thanks, guys!) that included Starbucks coffee, Tazo teas, and a whole mess of yarn. Shawn could hear my squeals of delight from the other end of the apartment.
On top of that, we feasted on Velveeta Shells & Cheese for dinner. It was one of the things that my parents had brought with them assuming that my dad would refuse to eat anything else while they were here. Lucky for us, he decided he could eat Ukrainian food, and when my mom saw how excited Shawn got over the cheesy packet (”That’s fancy mac and cheese!”), she left the box behind for us.
Oh, we’re so spoiled!

I’m still trying to figure out if Bill and Janette started sending us these nice packages before or after we found out we were heading to Nassau next. Either way, good thinking on their part. They’re top of the reservation list!

So, all it will take to move to the top of the reservation list is to keep a steady supply of “fancy mac and cheese”. Which, by the way, is the best kind of mac and cheese available.

**Note to self: Send yarn and mac ‘n cheese in order to get in Shawn and Jennifer’s good graces for Nassau.**

Yes, it’s sad but true. Our love (and guest room) can be purchased. But at least we’re cheap, right?
