Namely this crazy country in which we currently live. This happened last week while we were gone. I suppose it’s a positive thing that they were even in session, considering that the president desolved parliament last month and called for new elections. Guess they had to put those off in order to attempt to keep the economy from completely failing. It’s hard work being a politician here.
And in craziness even closer to home, I woke up the morning after we got back and saw this out the living room window:
Yup. That’s two men on the ridgepost of a five-story building with no safety gear. I can’t tell from this angle, but I would guess they’re wearing slippers with socks (the traditional footwear of Ukrainian workers) as well. And just so you can see exactly how far off the ground they are:

It’s okay. If they fell the cleaning folks would sweep them up the next morning.
