Yum-O!

These are the crazy-big avocados that grow in our backyard. (I felt you needed a frame of reference to understand just how big they are, so that’s what’s with the can of Coke Zero.) Two of these were pulled off the tree earlier today by yours truly and still need to ripen a bit. But the other two are ripe and ready to go, so that means guacamole for dinner!

The tricky thing is that even though they are twice the size of Haas avocados, the pit is also proportionally large, so it’s really just about the same amount of yummy goodness inside. But the taste is quite a bit different – they are much sweeter than your average avocado. Even Shawn gives them a thumbs-up and he usually complains that avocados have no taste.
