These are the chronicles of an American experiencing daily life while living abroad. As with any adventure, the exciting moments will be balanced with many average ones. This is an outlet for the wide spectrum of events and emotions in my life.
A few facts:
My husband works for the U.S. Department of State as a Foreign Service Officer. We’re currently living in the Washington, DC area while he is serving in a domestic assignment. I work as a seamstress in the costume shop of a Tony Award winning theatre in Arlington, VA. Prior to his current assignment, we lived in Nassau, The Bahamas, and Kyiv, Ukraine. In 2012, we will be heading overseas again, where we will both work at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan.
My life is full of transitions and challenges, which I plan to discuss in this forum. And you’ll probably find out a lot about my hobbies as well, including (but never limited to) sewing, knitting, quilting, and reading.
I hope you enjoy the blog and you can always e-mail me here.
